To provide reliable logistics and delivery tracking services through the Driver Taj Carrier app, we collect several types of data from our drivers:

Personal Information: Name, phone number, and driver ID provided by your employer/organization during setup.
Device Information: Device brand, OS version, and network status to debug app performance and stability.
Camera and Storage Access: Permission to use your device's camera and files to capture and upload Delivery Proofs, Lorry Receipts (LR), weight slips, and invoices.

Location Data Collection (Background Location)

Driver Taj Carrier collects precise location data to enable real-time tracking of active shipments and calculate accurate ETAs for dispatchers and consignees.

This location data is collected in the background even when the App is closed, swiped away, or not in use, provided that you are currently logged in and have an active trip assigned.

Location tracking automatically stops when you complete your trip or log out of the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To track shipment progress and dispatch deliveries accurately via Driver Taj Carrier.
To share live tracking and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) with the management panel and consignees.
To process uploaded documents (Lorry Receipts, Invoices) to confirm successful deliveries.
To improve App stability, prevent background crashes, and optimize battery usage.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Your privacy is important to us. We do not sell or rent your personal information or location data to third-party advertisers. Your information is only shared with:

Your Organization: The dispatch managers and administrators of Taj Carrier who oversee active fleet movements and delivery assignments.
Consignees: Only the recipient of the active shipment will have access to the live delivery ETA mapped to your current location.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process to protect the safety and rights of Taj Carrier or the public.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your location history and profile details for as long as necessary to fulfill logistics tracking and audit requirements. If you wish to request the deletion of your account and all associated data, you can do so by filling out our Account Deletion Request Form or by contacting your fleet manager or our support team at admin@tajcarrier.in.

5. Your Choices and Controls

Location Permissions: You can disable location tracking at any time by turning off location services in your phone’s settings, although doing so will prevent you from completing active trip assignments.
Logout: Logging out of the Driver Taj Carrier app immediately halts all background services and location pings.

6. Security of Your Data

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your location data and documents from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. All data transferred between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/SSL protocols.
